The Boston Celtics hadn’t lost three consecutive games for the entire 2023-24 NBA season ahead of their tilt with the New Orleans Pelicans. And when the final buzzer sounded, that unusual wrinkle to Boston’s current campaign stood unscathed with a 104-92 win for the Celtics.
In a contest that Boston trailed by as much as 11 points, the Celtics fought off early physicality from the Pels to break the game open in the tilt’s second half, never looking back. Holding New Orleans to just 39.5% from the field overall helped Boston right the ship to get the win, as did winning the battle of the boards (51-41), blocks (7-3), and assists (27-23).
