The Boston Celtics came to face the Dallas Mavericks on the second half of a back-to-back that started with a win over the Houston Rockets. It would end in a 119-110 win for the Celtics despite having played the night before to the four days of rest for Dallas.
Even though Boston shot just 32.% from beyond the arc and lost the rebounding battle by four boards, the Celtics got the win with marginal advantages in blocks, steals, and turnovers. Those small victories with the minor details helped to create an additional 11 possessions that made all of the difference for Boston.
