The Boston Celtics are the best ball club in the NBA, and the Chicago Bulls among the deadliest in the clutch this season. But on Saturday night at United Center, the Celtics beat the Bulls 124-113 despite being without the services of Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, and Kristaps Porzingis.
Boston won the battle of the boards by pulling down 41 rebounds to Chicago’s 29, and got up 21 treys to the Bulls’ 9, which more or less decided the game in the Celtics’ favor. Chicago did shoot better overall (57.3% from the floor overall to Boston’s 51.2%), but math wins in the end.
