Singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers is spending Christmas in Ireland with actor Paul Mescal and Twitter is having a field day imagining what they could be getting up to.
The pair became Instagram official earlier this month when the Motion Sickness singer posted a loved-up selfie with the Normal People actor.
Now, they’re apparently in Ireland for the holidays.
Over the past couple of days, several TikTokers spotted the couple in Dublin, in the city centre and in Dalkey.

The 27-year-old American star is no doubt being introduced to Irish Christmas traditions by 25-year-old Mescal - with some on Twitter imagining how she’ll react to watching the Mrs. Brown’s Boys Christmas special and what she’ll make of spice bags (an Irish comfort food made of shredded chicken and chips):

Others have posted hilarious hoax sightings:
Phoebe Bridgers spotted looking uncertain in an Irish pub before a trad band strikes up a tune in the corner. An old man who had seemed suspicious of her presence takes her hand and spins her around the floor, laughing; she is at ease now, accepted, part of the crowd

The thought of Phoebe Bridgers spending Christmas in Ireland is too funny to me. Like imagine her sat playing monopoly while Paul’s granda has an after dinner nap on the couch

Lads imagine Phoebe Bridgers opening a tin of celebrations in Paul's house. But when she opens it, what's inside? Only a bloody sewing kit! And omicron

I really feel like Phoebe Bridgers and Paul Mescal could go the way of all Culchie bf/Alt Gf relationships and she’ll end up releasing a song two months after the break up about how he asked her to tone it down a bit for his cousin Sean’s wedding

What’s even funnier than all the tweets about Phoebe Bridgers in Ireland with Paul Mescal is imagining him trying to explain them to her like “this one is funny because. . . Irish people love the immersion”

Wonder what Phoebe Bridgers is going to think of that first sip of sweet, sweet Shloer that Paul Mescal's ma is gonna pour her on Xmas eve

Given they’re in Ireland, some are just praying for a run-in (or maybe even a jam session):
Phoebe Bridgers, if you read this, I am free on Thursday night in Ireland and would like to hang out. Please respond to this and then hang out with me on Thursday night in Ireland when I am free.

If @phoebe_bridgers really is in Ireland, maybe she wants to do some gigs? pic.twitter.com/gUoBe1Qb7F

Hopefully Mescal has already introduced her to a few of the nation’s festive staples such as The Late Late Toy Show and the 12 pubs of Christmas…
