Phillip Schofield was given a stern warning by one of This Morning's resident doctors on Thursday's show (June 9). The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV daytime programme alongside Holly Willoughby when they were joined by Dr Zoe Williams.
The trio were discussing a variety of health headlines in her 'bite clinic' including discussing the various ways in which people can react to stings and bites. Phillip, 60, then confessed that he himself was allergic to bee and wasp stings.
The TV star did mention his allergy back in April. In a cooking segment on the show, Donal Skehan in the studio's kitchen showing viewers have to make a sweet and delicious Tres Leches Cake. And Phillip was clearly a fan.
Phillip then confessed: "In the summer, if wasps weren't a problem, I'd smear this all over myself," as he picked up a little ramakin of caramel sauce that was being used as a serving option. "Is that your favourite," Holly asked her co-host as Donal said: "Oh my gosh, Phillip! Please! It's a morning show."
He then revealed that he has a wasp allergy meaning it wouldn't be possible. "I'm allergic to wasps so it'd be a catastrophe," he laughed as Holly warned him: "Don't you dare," before they picked up their spoons to tuck in as Donal gave his baking demonstration.
Talking about it on today's show (Thursday), Phil said: "I react very badly to mosquitos. I'm allergic to bee and wasp stings so it's always going to be a bit of a nightmare." But he then confessed: "I've got an EpiPen somewhere in the kitchen cupboard, I don't know, it's somewhere."
As Phillip went to continue with what he was saying, a concerned Dr Zoe replied: "It should always be on you. Keep it with you," to which he conceded: "I know!"
Zoe went on to talk about how she too reacts badly to mosquitos and advised viewers to avoid wearing the colour red to avoid mosquitos and instead wear black and white. She also said mosquitos could be attracted by perfumes and certain scents.
Phillip, however, joked that he would leave a 'cup of blood' out for mosquitos rather than have them bite him. He said: "I'd just leave a cup full of blood on the table and let them go for that. Leave me alone."
