Phillip Schofield shares positive Covid test sending ITV This Morning and Dancing On Ice into chaos

Phillip Schofield has revealed he has tested positive for coronavirus.

The This Morning host took to Instagram on Monday night with a picture of his Lateral Flow Test.

It came hours after he appeared live on the ITV daytime show alongside Rochelle Humes.

"Well b******s!!" he wrote alongside the image of the test, clearly displaying two lines to show he has the virus.

Reassuring fans on his health, Phillip added: "Currently just a slightly sore throat.”

The news will see the 59-year-old miss This Morning for the rest of the week as current rules state you need a negative test on day five and six to be able to leave isolation early.

If he doesn't get those negative tests, his position on Sunday’s Dancing On Ice live show will also be in doubt.

The presenter, 59, usually hosts the ITV celebrity skating competition alongside Holly Willoughby, 40 who is also his co-presenter on This Morning.

The Manchester Evening News has contacted ITV and This Morning for an update on what this means for the show.

Phillip was last seen hosting the programme on Monday with Rochelle and was with Holly at Dancing On Ice on Sunday.

Holly has been absent from the weekday daytime show for the past two weeks due to filming a new show for the BBC.

Over the weekend Phillip was also snapped enjoying a family night out to the theatre for his daughter Ruby's 26th birthday.

The TV presenter, Ruby, wife Stephanie Lowe, and their daughter Molly were pictured as they headed to see Les Miserables.
