While hairdressers remain closed, Phillip Schofield recruited wife Stephanie Lowe to give him a trim.
The This Morning presenter, 58, shared a video on his Instagram story of Lowe, 56, testing out her hairdressing skills.
First, he posted a clip of her FaceTiming hairdresser Lino Carbosiero for advice before picking up the scissors, then shared a photo of his hair in its pre-cut state, with his shoulders wrapped in a towel.
The next clip showed Lowe carefully trimming the top of her husband’s hair as he looked mildly concerned, while she noted that she was using “not the sharpest pair of scissors.”
Schofield then joked “Do you want to get the bread knife out?” prompting Lowe to hit back with: “Don’t tempt me!”
The presenter then showed off his cut, telling followers: “That is a quality quarantine cut.”
Lowe admitted that she was “really chuffed” with her handiwork as Schofield added: “Nicely done.”
“How much do I owe you?” he quipped.
Schofield, who married Lowe in 1993, came out as gay in February and recently shut down speculation that he had moved between a London flat and his family home in Oxfordshire during the lockdown period.
After reports claimed that he had moved into an apartment in the city, Schofield shared a picture of himself with Lowe and their two daughters over the Bank Holiday weekend.
One Instagram user challenged him, writing: “So you moved out but you’re allowed to visit your family? But I can’t go and visit my children and grandchildren. Just the rich or famous that are allowed, good to know.”
Schofield then suggested that such claims were incorrect, writing: “Where did you get that I’d moved out… oh yeah, the papers.”
The star has continued to present This Morning with colleague Holly Willoughby throughout the lockdown, with the presenters upholding social distancing rules in the studio.
