Phillip Schofield has paid tribute to co-host, Holly Willoughby, after the pair presented their last This Morning together for the summer. Earlier this week it was announced that Holly and Phil would be taking a break until Monday, September 5.
They will be replaced over the holidays with an incredible summer line-up that will include Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, as well as Ruth Langsford and Rylan Clark. You can read more about the replacement presenting line-up here.
Following the final episode, which aired on Friday, July 8, Phil took to Instagram to thank his co-host for an "amazing series" in a sweet post. Sharing a picture of the pair together, Phil wrote: "To the bestest human. Thank you for an amazing series @hollywilloughby.. Happy summer break, see you in September."

The post prompted Holly to reply on her own Instagram stories. Sharing the same photograph, she wrote: "And you my darling... Love you... See you soon handsome pants!"
Phillip and Holly have worked together on This Morning since 2009, with the latter replacing former-host Fern Britton. The duo's on-screen rapport is regularly praised by viewers.
Viewers will spot some familiar faces in This Morning's summer line-up with Friday presenters, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, as well as regular additions Ruth Langsford, Josie Gibson, Rochelle Humes, Vernon Kay, Rylan Clark, Craig Doyle, Mollie King, and Andi Peters. Phillip and Holly are scheduled to return from their annual summer break on Monday, September 5.
