Phillip Schofield’s 40-year TV career is in tatters after a tumultuous fortnight which saw him cut all ties with ITV.
From fall outs with former co-host Holly Willoughby to him admitting an affair with a much younger male colleague while he was still married, Phil's illustrious tenure at the broadcaster reached a dramatic end.
At first the 61-year-old apparently refused to quit This Morning, which he had presented for 21 years.
But the writing was on the wall when he came clean about an affair with an unnamed This Morning colleague, who was just a teenager when they first met.
Although he claims nothing illegal happened, Phil has since admitted lying to ITV, his colleagues, his agents – who have also dropped him – and his family.
But as Phil stepped down from presenting next week’s British Soap Awards, as well as This Morning and Dancing on Ice, the question on everybody’s lips is who will replace him?
Here we look at the big names who have been touted to step in and present the shows he has left behind.
This Morning
Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, who usually present This Morning on Fridays, have been stepping in since Phil quit the show last weekend.
But with the news Holly Willoughby is set to return to the show after the half-term break on June 5, ITV bosses are said to be eyeing up Phil's replacement.
While Alison was a frontrunner, having successfully co-hosted with Holly earlier this year, a new name has emerged as most likely to succeed Phil.
Good Morning Britain presenter Ben Shephard is the bookies favourite to take over the role - while Dermot is in second place.
Alison has joint odds with Rylan Clark - while Rochelle Humes and husband Marvin, former breakfast telly favourites Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan and even Piers Morgan are said to be in with a chance.
This Morning's Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle, who have both stepped up when other hosts have been off, have also been mentioned.
Even Stacey Solomon has sparked rumours she has been asked to do the job after revealing she'd had the 'most exciting meeting of her life' and mentioned September 2023, when This Morning is set to return with its new format.
Dancing on Ice
Phil and Holly's feud will also result in a hosting shake-up for Dancing on Ice.
The popular ITV show was presented by Holly and Phil from 2006 to 2011 and Phil and Christine Lampard from 2012 to 2014.
After a pause, Dancing on Ice returned with Holly and Phil again as hosts in 2018 - but who will host the show now Phil has quit?
An ITV spokesperson recently confirmed that no decisions have been made yet, but it is reported Rochelle Humes and husband Marvin could be set to take over.
The married couple have presented BBC's The Hit List together and Rochelle is a regular stand-in on This Morning, with both Rochelle and Marvin hosting the ITV morning programme together previously.
Other names to have been thrown in the ring include Stephen Mulhern, who currently presents ITV game show In for a Penny.
British Soap Awards
Following the news Phil had an affair with a younger male colleague, he announced he would also be stepping down from next week's British Soap Awards on June 3.
Phil has hosted the awards since 2006, but the new host for 2023 and beyond is yet to be revealed.
ITV confirmed the awards will still go ahead as planned, adding: "We will make further announcements in due course."
It is reported The Masked Singer host Joel Dommett is being lined up to take Phil's place instead.
Other presenters said to be in the running include Bradley Walsh and Vernon Kay, according to bookies Coral.
