Phillip Schofield's ex is reportedly said to have had a showreel filmed at the This Morning studios in his bid to become a TV personality.
The young runner can be seen interviewing Phillip on the set, which a source has claimed was "paid for by ITV".
The video was created in 2015 and shows the runner presenting to the camera, and going over to Phil for a chat.
It has been claimed the reel sparked speculation as to why the runner was able to get access to the cameras, studio and main presenter.
A source claimed: "Everyone who allowed it to happen will have of course wondered why this was being done for a runner and what the relationship was between them."
They added to the Mail Online: "Of course it was all bought and paid for by ITV - it was filmed in the This Morning studios by the show's cameramen.
"How many runners get access to the cameras, studio and main presenter? I'll tell you how many: none."
ITV have been facing questions about how much was known of Phillip's affair with his younger colleague, with This Morning now set to face an external review.
It comes after the former This Morning presenter admitted to having an affair which was "unwise" but not "illegal".
Ex co-star Eamonn Holmes also continues to claim that ITV bosses 'covered-up' the affair.
ITV claimed that it had investigated allegations of the affair in 2020.
A spokesperson said ITV was 'not provided with, and did not find, any evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumour' following the enquiry.
The statement read: "Further to our statement last night, ITV can confirm that when rumours of a relationship between Phillip Schofield and an employee of ITV first began to circulate in early 2020 ITV investigated.
"Both parties were questioned and both categorically and repeatedly denied the rumours as did Phillip's then agency YMU.
"In addition, ITV spoke to a number of people who worked on This Morning and were not provided with, and did not find, any evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumour.
"Phillip’s statement yesterday reveals that he lied to people at ITV, from senior management to fellow presenters, to YMU, to the media and to others over this relationship."
However, the GB News presenter, 63, who previously hosted This Morning on Fridays with Ruth Langsford, claimed Phillip's affair had been 'covered-up'.
An email was also allegedly sent by an ex-This Morning employee to ITV bosses about Phillip Schofield 's affair.
The email in question, which was allegedly sent by a former ITV staff member appeared to attempt to warn ITV bosses about Phillip's then-rumoured relationship with a younger male colleague in 2020.
The unnamed former employee of This Morning appeared to try to have Phillip suspended from his role as host of This Morning.
"With the current rumours and accusations swirling around about Phillip Schofield…why is he still on our screens? Why have ITV not suspended him pending an internal inquiry," the letter obtained by MailOnline questioned.
"I would have thought in this day and age that a mainstream broadcaster such as ITV ought to be seen to be doing all it can to deal with issues like this, find out where the truth lies and, in the meantime, suspend those who the rumours concern," the unnamed former ITV employee reportedly added.
According to Mail Online, the email also allegedly contained a link to a YouTube video which detailed the timeline of Phillip's relationship with the young man.
Following publication of the alleged email, the ex This Morning staff member claimed that ITV didn't responded to the concerns raised in the email.
