Phillip Schofield's lawyer has responded to claims the former This Morning host could be back on our screens soon. The veteran presenter quit ITV after admitting an affair with a younger colleague and said he feared his TV career was over.
Expert Andy Barr recently stated his belief Phillip's future could include a part on Talk TV. He told The Daily Star: "TalkTV could be the career rebuilding platform that Schofield needs right now.
"If the current media spotlight reveals no new allegations then this is entirely recoverable for him and TalkTV could be the perfect place for him to start again in a high-profile media environment." However, Phillip's lawyer has now addressed the claims, The Mirror reports.
When asked by the website if Phillip would be appearing on Talk TV, he said: "Absolutely not as far as I know." TalkTV's most prominent news anchor is Piers Morgan, who has publicly sympathised with Phillip following his own abrupt exit from ITV's Good Morning Britain in 2021 after he accused Meghan Markle of lying in her Oprah Winfrey interview.
Piers, who has known Phillip for 35 years, says he looks "completely broken" following the news. "Phillip Schofield is a broken guy, he’s not going to work on television again almost certainly. He’s lost everything in his life," he said.
"I don’t know what more the baying mob on Twitter wants from Phillip Schofield that he hasn’t already lost?” He described Phil's initial downfall as "brutal to watch" before hitting out at the, "ruthless backstabbing in the world of daytime television."
