Phillip Schofield shared a public message for Holly Willoughby after their National Television Awards win on Thursday night.
The emotional presenter took to his Instagram Stories in the early hours of Friday morning to thank fans who voted for This Morning to bag the Best Daytime Show honour for the fifth year in a row, as he partied into the night while his co-host reportedly headed home early following their win.
Phil was snapped beaming as he carried on the party on Thursday night, but Holly was nowhere to be seen - with reports the mum-of-three snuck out of the OVO Arena in London at around 10pm, shortly after she and Phil took to the stage to pick up their latest award to a mixed reaction.
The This Morning presenter, 41, and co-host Phillip are well known to have enjoyed an afterparty tipple in the past and have presented their morning-after show hungover on a number of occasions - much to the delight of viewers - but Holly seemingly wasn't in the mood to party this year.
As Phil enjoyed the after-parties with no Holly by his side, he took to social media to share a touching message for his absent co-host - sharing a sweet snap of himself and Holly embracing as they collected their latest award.
"I love you Holly Willoughby and our entire @thismorning family," Phil wrote in the post shared with his Instagram fans.
"Thank YOU for every single vote 'cos we love you most x."
Holly and Phil, 60, appeared to receive a frosty reception from the audience at the event when they were named the award winners. Among those seemingly less than impressed by the pair were the group from Loose Women.
Panelist Linda Robson looked like she refused to clap their accolade and remained stone faced as the camera caught her reaction to the win.
And there were even said to be be jeers from the crowd amid the on-going fallout from Queue-gate, which saw Holly and Phil criticised for jumping the line to see the Queen lying in state.
Another source in the audience told the outlet: "The boos in the room were very loud when Holly and Phil were announced as the winners."
While they weren't clear on-screen, some viewers also picked up on the incident, taking to Twitter to question what had happened.
According to The Sun she was spotted heading for the exit in her beautiful black gown before the final award after receiving a mixed reaction to her win.
An onlooker told the publication: "Holly picked up her award for Best Daytime and then left 30 minutes after. Normally she stays around for a drink with Phil and the team but she did an Irish exit.
"She was seen leaving the ceremony and getting into a car outside just after 10pm."
The National Television Awards 2022 were originally due to take place on September 15 but were put on hold as a mar
k of respect following the death of the Queen.
The Masked Singer's Joel Dommett hosted the long-awaited ceremony for the second time, with Martin Lewis making a dig at the government as he picked up his award for TV Expert, and Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke bagging Best TV Judge.
After a hugely exciting year of TV – which included the most-watched series of Love Island, the final series of Peaky Blinders, and some eye-opening documentaries from stars including Tom Parker's wife Kelsey Parker, and Katie Price - the most famous faces on TV made up for lost time as they dressed to impress for the exciting night.
