Phillip Schofield reveals big night out plan when he escapes Covid self-isolation

Phillip Schofield has vowed he is 'seriously going out' when he's Covid free as he continues to self-isolating on Day 7.

The 59-year-old presenter first tested positive for the virus late last Monday and following Government guidelines has isolated at his London home ever since meaning he has been notably absent on our screens for his work commitments.

The shared his initial results with fans under the caption: "Well this is b***ocks" but appeared in better spirits during a video call to colleagues Alison Hammond and Rochelle Humes.

The co-stars queried whether he would be clear to host last night's Dancing on Ice but of that didn't happen as he failed to shift the virus in time and presenter Stephen Mulhern stepped in to cover.

Phillip is struggling with isolating and has vented to followers on social media (Instagram)

The switch up saw Holly reunited with her old co-presenter Stephen - as they both teamed up 16 years ago on children’s television.

He posted ahead of last night's show: "Standing in for the incredible @schofe on @dancingonice tonight Back with my right hand woman @hollywilloughby for the first time in 16 years!"

Meanwhile Phil has twice updated fans with his longing for freedom day.

Both Holly and Stephen sent their best wishes to Phillip as they kicked off Dancing on Ice, as the host missed the show for the first time in its history and was forced to watch it at home.

Meanwhile Phil has twice updated fans with his longing for his own freedom day.

Both Holly and Stephen sent their best wishes to Phillip as they kicked off Dancing on Ice, as the host missed the show for the first time in its history and was forced to watch it at home.

He uploaded another LFT with two clear red lines and fumed: "This really is the day that keeps on giving," adding "Sorry @thismorning @holywilloughby," along with two sad emojis.

And today, he continued the trend captioning:''Oh come on! This is getting so bloody dull now!!!

The star vented:''I am seriously going out after this."

Phil is following the latest government rules, which state in order to leave self-isolation after five full days from testing positive, people will need to record a negative lateral flow test on day five and then 24 hours later, on day six.

If the lateral flow tests show a positive Covid result on day five or six, people must continue to self-isolate. You may then leave isolation after testing negative on two consecutive days, or after 10 days.

According to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), two-thirds of positive cases were no longer infectious by day five.
