Phillip Schofield makes sarcastic remark to This Morning viewers as show is cut short by ITV

This Morning host Phillip Schofield made a sarcastic remark to viewers at the end of the show after it was cut short by ITV on Wednesday (March 15). This week the presenting duo Phillip and Holly Willoughby have had many guests join them on the sofa for This Morning.

Reality star Fearne MCann, who is best known for being on TOWIE, was a guest on the show. She broke down as she apologised for her voice note scandal.

Sharon Marshall, the show’s soap expert, also was on This Morning. She shared some sneak peaks of big storylines set for Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

As reported by Chronicle Live, the reason for This Morning coming to an end so early at 12.15pm was due to ITV’s live coverage of Jeremy Hunt’s Budget. Throughout this week the channel had already significantly changed its schedule due to Cheltenham.

The live Budget news special also pushed the horse racing to be moved to ITV4. On This Morning, Holly told the viewers that the show would be ending 15 minutes early and shared a sneak peak of what was coming up on Thursday's show.

Phillip had the final word of the show. "Have a lovely Budget,” he said, with a blank look on his face.

Some viewers took to Twitter as they were annoyed at the amount of ITV adverts and the show. One tweeted: ”Watching This Morning - it's been on 15 mins and already advert breaks... then two minutes after they come back another advert for a competition... I mean why? Why so many ad breaks? Turning over now."
