Phillip Schofield makes face as he blasts chef's 'horrid' food on This Morning

Phillip Schofield was not best impressed today with Chef Phil Vickery's menu today on This Morning.

The 60-year-old made a face as he joined co-host Holly Willoughby and discovered what they would be eating later on in the programme.

Revealing what he would be making later on in the show, Phil teased his juicy spiced lamb kebabs - but upset the host after revealing what he would be serving with them.

"I’ve got some sort of kebabs here that we’re going to play around with, along with a dip which I had in a restaurant a couple of weeks ago," he revealed.

"Also, couscous! A lot of people don’t like it, but if you get a lot of flavours into it -”

Interjecting, Schofe said: "Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. What did you just say? Couscous? It’s horrid, it should be packaging not food!"

As he complained, Holly pointed out: "It’s not as bad as polenta, you hate polenta!"

Schofe made a face again as he conceded that polenta is even worse, with Holly agreeing that at least it was a "one-up" from that food.

Chef Phil insisted that he would try to make the dish taste good as it was all dependent on "flavour control".

"If anyone can make it lovely it would be you," Phil gushed.

It comes after Holly issued a cheeky dig at Piers Morgan ahead of the launch of his new show tonight.

Discussing comments Trump makes in his interview suggesting that the Queen should strip the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of their titles, This Morning hosts Holly and Phillip Schofield were joined by Gyles Brandreth and Camilla Tominey.

Speaking of Trump, Holly said pointedly: "He's never a fan of Meghan, has he? Right from the get-go he's been quite opinionated. He seems to blame her for all of it."

"Also, he's talking to Piers Morgan who isn't a fan of Meghan either," Camilla remarked.

Raising her eyebrows, Holly said: "Not much balance in that chat."
