Phillip Schofield called a halt to Tuesday's This Morning to bring some breaking news on I'm A Celebrity concerning reports that Matt Hancock is going into the jungle.
On Monday evening, ITV officially confirmed the I'm A Celebrity line-up, after much speculation, with the likes of Boy George, Jill Scott and Mike Tindall all ready to go into the jungle, alongside the likes of soap stars Sue Cleaver and Owen Warner and Loose Women host Charlene White. And late on Tuesday morning, rumours surfaced that former Health Secretary Hancock will be joining them in Australia as a shock late arrival and this year's 12th campmate.
An insider told The Sun : 'Matt is a sensational signing for the show as producers love a star with a story to tell - and they always hope they'll spill the beans round the campfire," adding "He's the latest in a long line of figures from the political sphere, including MP Nadine Dorries, Stanley Johnson and MP Lembit Opik."

It didn't take long for news to reach the This Morning studio and, after a fashion segment on the daytime show came to an end, Phillip paused proceedings to announce: "We have some breaking news now, although ITV haven't confirmed this. We were talking about I'm A Celeb at the beginning of the show today, but, it's being reported that the Tory MP and former Health Secretary Matt Hancock will be heading into the I'm A Celebrity jungle."
As an old clip of Hancock walking to work appeared on screen, Holly asked: "Is he going there now? He might get there by Sunday!" She then added: "There's also been statements sent to the press from a source close to Matt Hancock which says: 'Matt doesn't expect to serve in Government again, so it's an incredible opportunity for him to engage with the 12 million Brits who tune in every single night. Matt has told the whips in Parliament that he will use his time in the jungle to promote his dyslexia campaign."
Phillip commented: "Well the Conservative party's chief whip, Simon Hart, who is in charge of keeping MPs in order has told reporters 'Following conversations with Matt Hancock, I have considered the situation and believe this is a matter serious enough to warrant suspension of the whip with immediate effect."
