Phillip Schofield was left speechless on Monday's This Morning as he interviewed a woman who identifies as a wolf.
Naia Ōkami, 27, appeared on the ITV show live from her home in Seattle and was keen to explain what it means to identify as otherkin therian.
Otherkin therian is a subculture of people who identify spiritually as an animal rather than a human.
"So I am a British Columbian wolf and it started with dream shifting so that's when I had a dream about myself as British Columbian wolf," Naia began.
"A therian is somebody who believes that they are a non-human animal on a personal, integral level. Now, this isn't to say that we're delusional, I don't physically believe that I'm a wolf.
"It's more of like a spiritual and psychological identification as a wolf. So I'm completely aware that I'm human, I go to work every day, I don't necessarily dress like this to work. But at the same token, spiritually somehow I'm a wolf."
Naia continued: "When I'm in private or if I'm with my friends, I will wolf out in the woods," as a video of her being a wolf was shown on screen.
Towards the end of the chat, Phillip asked Naia if she could howl for them - to which she replied she would have to do it quietly because her housemates were asleep.
As Phillip and Rochelle laughed, the father-of-two had a baffled look on his face and struggled to get his words out.
"Actually very good.... errrrr thank you, absolutely fascinating," he told Naia as Rochelle continued to giggle.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
