Phillip Schofield enjoys family time after rumours he'll be replaced on This Morning

Phillip Schofield didn't appear to be letting the reports about his future on This Morning get to him as he posted on Instagram last night.

The father-of-two, 61, took a three-week hiatus from the show during his brother's trial and it's since been rumoured ITV is considering 'reshuffling the presenters'.

However, the seasoned host looked relaxed as he shared a snap of himself and daughter Molly on Saturday, enjoying some red wine.

Smiling for the camera, sporting a grey hoodie, Phil captioned the photo: "Dinner with @mollyschofe."

He then posted another shot of the pair, giggling with the caption: "Bloopers".

Phil returned to This Morning last week after taking time off the show during his brother Timothy's time in court.

Following the trial, the 54-year-old was convicted of 11 sexual offences involving a child between October 2016 and October 2019.

After telling fans he 'no longer had a brother', Phillip got back to presenting duties with Rochelle Humes while Holly Willoughby was at home recovering from shingles.

Addressing his absence and support he's received since the news broke of Tim's trial, the presenter said: "I'd just like to say, it is really lovely to be back. I have missed the show and everyone here and also to you."

However, insiders claim ITV noticed many viewers are 'tired' of Phil and have been favouring his co-host Alison Hammond.

According to the claims, the channel has been thinking about having two women fronting the daytime programme.

One source claimed to Mail On Sunday: "It's a case of both things colliding. Fans say they are over Phil and they love Alison."

Another source said that while Phil’s team at talent agency YMU were keen to get him back quickly, ITV bosses suggested more time off.

They claimed: "YMU’s view was the sooner Phillip was back the better.

"But ITV offered him the chance to have more time off. They felt a longer break would benefit him as he has been in bits at points over the past few weeks.

"They were also keen to see how audiences responded to other presenters.

"It is possible in future there may be a presenting shakeup, and experiments like this are really helpful."

Mirror has contacted ITV for comment.
