Phillip Schofield compares Alison Hammond's eyelashes to moths in hilarious This Morning segment

Phillip Schofield and Alison Hammond were left in stitches on ITV's This Morning after he said her eyelashes looked like a moth had 'landed on her face'. The pair were left wheezing with laughter at the start of the show with Alison agreeing her lashes were "so big".

Alison stepped in to cover for Holly Willoughby on Tuesday's This Morning as she was still in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19. But Holly will be returning to co-host from Wednesday, March 23 as Phil confirmed she is now testing negative.

During the opening segment of the daytime programme on Tuesday, March 22, Alison and Phil were talking about the size of Alison's eyelashes. Phil joked: "Can you feel it? Can you feel the draft?". Alison then bent over with laughter before she said: "We were having a conversation about the fact that my eyelashes are the longest eyelashes I have ever seen."

Phil then asked Alison to turn sideways to the camera so that viewers at home could see the length of the lashes. "Look at that! He said and Alison added: "They are so big!".

Phil placed his hand on Alison's shoulder and continued: "I swear I thought a moth had landed on your face." which set them both off giggling. "Are you getting a draft?" she asked.

"I wondered what it was, all my papers were blowing," he laughed before adding: "They look gorgeous, you look gorgeous as always."

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
