Phillip Schofield has addressed the alleged ongoing 'feud' with his co-star and longtime best pal Holly Willoughby as he addressed their friendship following claims there have been tensions between the ITV presenters.
Despite fronting popular shows for several years together including Dancing On Ice and This Morning, sources have speculated over recent months that their off-screen friendship has taken a downward turn.
The pair have always maintained a close relationship when the cameras aren't rolling aside from their on-screen chemistry together, but sources have suggested that the best pals are not "as close as they once were," according to the Mirror.
Following the news, the presenting stars appeared together in their usual spots on Thursday's episode of This Morning and put on a united front in a bid to silence any claims.
But Phillip has spoken about the rumours, as he attempts to win back his friendship. The 61-year-old host has continually described Holly as his "rock" during some of the most turbulent times in his life.
It comes as Phillip explained that Holly always has his back immediately when he needs somebody to talk to about his personal troubles in a recent interview and says the 42-year-old host had been his pal through "thick and thin."
Speaking to The Sun previously, he said: "The last few weeks haven't been easy for either of us.
"My family went through a real ordeal.
"And Holly's support throughout meant the world to me, as did the support of my bosses at ITV, my editor Martin Frizell and the whole This Morning family, including our amazing viewers."
It has been reported that Holly is prepared to front the ITV morning show alone if their relationship continues to decline, with sources slamming Phillip over "desperate stuff" from him given the current state of their relationship.
The source also said that the alleged 'frosty' relationship is evidently clear for staff working in the studios, with the atmosphere between the pair completely different to their united front on-screen.
Holly and Philllip told the Mirror last year that they feel "at ease" with one another when they are together as a presenting duo.
Holly said: "They're different shows and that's what's nice about it. There's a real ease when we work together. It's not like you're going in like, oh we need to find our feet or rhythm, it's an absolute given. It's nice to be doing something a bit different but still together."
Phil agreed, as he called Holly his "best mate", adding: "The lovely thing is, I get to spend even more time with my best mate. It's lovely and I adore Holly completely and absolutely and so to be able to joke around together, it's great."
The Mirror approached Phillip's representatives for comment.
