Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby host This Morning Christmas with Cliff Richard and The Muppets

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will host their annual two hour This Morning Christmas special with the likes of Sir Cliff Richard and The Muppets.

Viewers will also see an outdoor performance from Wizzard singing their smash hit I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, while Betsey Griffin, nine, delivers Christmas message for the nation.

Sir Cliff also serves up his famous gravy in the This Morning kitchen.

Of the recipe, which includes soy and teriyaki, the 82-year-old said: “It’s just my own personal taste, and slowly I added one of these [ingredients] once and then two…

"I can’t really cook - it’s just gravy.

"My sister said once that her children wouldn’t have her gravy so I said I’d freeze it for her so she could cook it for them.”

Schofield and Willoughby will also raise a glass to fellow hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary and viewers.

Schofield said: “Absolutely delighted that we are going to be spending the next two hours with you”, before other members of This Morning, including Rochelle Humes, Gyles Brandreth and Carol Vordermanshared their festive greetings.

Other highlights include an interview with Santa at the North Pole and a link to Australia for British expats to send their Christmas greetings.

The presenters also partake in a quiz and swap Christmas gifts before nine-year-old Betsy Griffin, who was diagnosed with a rare and inoperable brain tumour that has left her blind, gives a heartwarming Christmas message to the nation.

Additional star guests, include Bradley Walsh, Kermit the frog and Miss Piggy who - share their thoughts on the 30th anniversary of The Muppet Christmas Carol.

This Morning’s Christmas show ends with a performance from Sir Cliff singing his festive classic Mistletoe and Wine.
