Phillip Schofield was missing from This Morning's opening credits on This Morning as Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary addressed his sudden departure from the ITV show.
It was confirmed last week that Holly Willoughby would be taking a short break from This Morning for the school holidays while Phillip's last show aired on Thursday.
Alison and Dermot hosted the show but the opening credits featured none of the presenters.
This Morning viewers took to Twitter to comment on the opening title shake-up as one wrote: "Ooft cut them all from opening titles, ouch," and another said: "They didn’t waste time changing the opening credits. #thismorning #philwho."
"#ThisMorning the way the opening titles were I have a feeling we won't be seeing Holly either. She wasn't in them either," another pointed out.
A third said: "Hollie wasn't in the credits," and another wrote: "They’ve removed them from the opening credits too!"
"Opening credits already changed and a quick mention of his name then swiftly moved on lol what a tribute lol," someone else shared.
Kicking off the show, Alison said: "Now we can't start today's show without paying tribute to the man who has spent the last two decades sitting on this sofa – Phillip Schofield."
"Everyone on and off the screen at ITV and This Morning want to say a huge thank you to Phil for what he's done to make this show a success over the last 21 years," Dermot continued before Alison added: "Quite simply we all know he's one of the best live television broadcasters this country has ever had and we, and all the team, wish him all the best for the future."
Explaining Holly's absence, Dermot said: "Holly is taking a break over half term, she'll be back in the studio in two weeks."
On Saturday, ITV announced Phillip would be stepping down from the show after 21 years following rumours of a "feud" between Phillip and Holly.
It was confirmed Holly will remain on the ITV show and will co-present with members of the This Morning family.
In a statement, Phillip explained he "agreed to step down" after "This Morning itself has become the story", in recent weeks, in a bid to "protect the show" so it "can move forward to a bright future".
