Phillip and Holly's This Morning replacements confirmed as bookies have their say

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will be replaced on This Morning this week, after Phillip left the show and Holly took an earlier than expected break in the aftermath of the big news.

The two hosts have been at the centre of much speculation over the last few weeks, with reports of a feud between the presenters behind the scenes, as their famously close friendship hit the skids. Phillip issued a statement to try and shut down the rumours, saying that he and Holly had been through some times and that she'd been his 'rock.'

Bookies tipped Phillip to leave This Morning and they proved to be bang on as, on Saturday afternoon, he took to Instagram to reveal he was walking away from the job he'd held for over 20 years, saying that he hoped the show would go onto "a bright future" and that he' d be back to host next month's British Soap Awards.

As soon as Phillip made his announcement and ITV explained that Holly would be taking her half term break a week early, the book opened on who will replace him, with Dermot O'Leary the overwhelming favourite. And experts have again proven to be spot on, well for this week anyway, as it's Dermot and his usual Friday co-host Alison Hammond who have been given the nod to front This Morning this week.

Alison was only fourth favourite to be Phillip's full time replacement with BettingSites.co.uk, who had Rochelle Humes as second behind Dermot and Masked Singer presenter Joel Dermott in third.
