Nick Castellanos is having a no good, very bad time with the Philadelphia Phillies right now.
Since coming out of the All-Star break, the Phillies have lost three straight against the Chicago Cubs, with Philadelphia going 3-7 overall in their last 10 games. Castellanos, in particular, hasn’t had as much of a factor in the batter’s box as many hoped either. In his last 270 plate appearances, Castellanos has a .218 batting average and just three home runs, quite a poor showing considering the outfielder was the Phillies’ No. 3 hitter for much of the season.
So it’s no surprise that Castellanos got testy with NBC Sports Philadelphia reporter Jim Salisbury when asked if the outfielder heard the boos from fans following Saturday’s 6-2 loss.

Here’s the exchange between Salisbury and Castellanos:
Salisbury: Did you hear the boos when you struck out?
Castellanos: Nah man, I lost my hearing.
Salisbury: So you didn’t hear them.
Castellanos: Come on, man. That’s a stupid question.
Salisbury: Why’s that a stupid question?
Castellanos: Can anybody else answer that for him? Anybody? Yeah man, it’s a stupid question.
Not only that, Castellanos and Salisbury continued to go at it later in the media availability, causing the public relations person to step in to intervene and end the session early. The heated back and forth caused quite a stir with Phillies fans after the video surfaced online.
