Philippe Coutinho waited to speak with three Liverpool players after featuring in Aston Villa's Boxing Day defeat by the Reds.
Introduced in the 85th minute of the match by Unai Emery, the former Liverpool playmaker was unable to help his side overturn their two-goal deficit as Jurgen Klopp's side sealed a 3-1 victory courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Stefan Bajcetic.
Coutinho reunited with Klopp ahead of Monday's match as the pair shared an exchange on the pitch and the Brazilian star also took the time to speak with members of the current Reds squad, albeit none of which he featured alongside during his five years at Anfield.

Indeed, behind-the-scenes footage has emerged showing the 30-year-old stood inside the Aston Villa tunnel, alongside fellow team-mate Douglas Luiz, chatting with Alisson, Fabinho and Thiago.
Coutinho is familiar with Liverpool's Samba duo from international duty and was in the same Bayern Munich side Thiago helped to Champions League glory in 2020.
Participating in this conversation is unlikely to have been an issue for the Reds' Spanish midfielder, who is fluent in five languages - one of which is Portuguese.
