Philippe Clement names Rangers team to face St. Mirren

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has named his team to face St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

The Ibrox side go into the game off the back of a 3-1 victory over Heart of Midlothian at Tynecastle last week.

Jamie McCart's brace of own goals and a breakaway strike from Vaclav Cerny was enough to win it for the visitors.

Now back on home soil, Clement's men will look to make it consecutive league victories.

The Belgian manager has made "two alterations from his side's recent outing in Gorgie.

The last time St. Mirren visited Govan, Rangers emerged 2-1 winners.

Mohamed Diomande and Cerny scored that afternoon, although the last meeting of the sides ended in a 2-1 triumph for the Paisley outfit on Boxing Day.

Nothing but three points will be on the mind of Clement this afternoon, with a trip to Kilmarnock in the offing midweek.

St. Mirren travel to face Hearts on Wednesday night, but all focus is currently on this afternoon's clash.

Confirmed Rangers starting XI: Butland, Tavernier, Propper, Nsiala, Jefte, Diomande, Raskin, Cerny, Hagi, Igamane, Dessers.

Subs: Kelly, Yilmaz, Lawrence, Bajrami, Fernandes, McCausland, Rice, Curtis, Danilo.
