Philippe Clement names first Rangers starting XI of new season

Philippe Clement has named his Rangers starting line-up to face Hearts in the Scottish Premiership curtain-raiser.

The Ibrox boss will lead his side into the new campaign at Tynecastle this afternoon.

Clement has handed one new signing their competitive debut in the league opener. Connor Barron starts at Tynecastle with Oscar Cortes also making his return debut for Rangers.

Jack Butland starts in goal with James Tavernier, John Souttar, Ben Davies and Ridvan Yilmaz in defence.

Barron is alongside Mohamed Diomande and Tom Lawrence in midfield with Scott Wright and Cortes supporting Cyriel Dessers.

Jefte and Vaclav Cerny have had to settle for spots on the bench with no squad roles for Hamza Igamane or Robin Propper against Hearts.
