Philippe Clement insists there will be no raft of changes at Rangers in January.
The Belgian has revealed that there will be no major surgery to his first team squad, however, did admit that a few 'right' calls need to be made, with the summer the most ideal point to address recruitment.
Clement has hinted that there will be no faces in the door in the upcoming transfer window, but he has explained that there are still opportunities available to those already in the building to prove themselves.
"Reshaping it in January is much more difficult than in the summer, that's the reality in football with every club so I'm realistic about that," he said. "The idea is to do something but it will not be a lot of things, it needs to be the right things."
On outgoings, he added: "First we need to make a good assessment about that. It's not good, fair, or honest to do it in six weeks, that's really short to make decisions around that.
"Until January and even in January players have the time to prove themselves that they are the right men for the club and position. It's an open battle in that way to show themselves."
Meanwhile, Nicolas Raskin’s recovery from injury will take longer than initially expected, Clement admitted.
The midfielder was sidelined previously in the campaign but made a brief comeback in late October during Clement’s first few games.
However, he picked up an ankle injury in the 2-1 home victory over Hearts and has been absent again since.
A timescale has not been provided by the club regarding when Raskin is expected to be back to fitness, but it's certainly not a positive update for the 22-year-old.
The news comes as a big blow to the club and player, with the Belgium Under-21 international set to miss the Viaplay Cup final against Aberdeen and the second installment of the Old Firm derby.
