It will either be a welcome late start to school on February 13 or the students in Philadelphia will be resting after a tough Sunday.
The Philadelphia School District announced there will be a two-hour delay the day after the Eagles play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 57.

There are other areas in the Delaware Valley delaying the start of the school day:
On Super Bowl Monday, Wissahickon School District will have a 2-hour delayed opening for its six schools.
Some other districts are following suit. Upper Merion and Radnor school districts will open later, as will William Penn Charter to name a few. In New Jersey, Gloucester City School District will too.
Catholic schools in Philadelphia will be closed if there is a championship parade next week.
Kansas City students don’t get such a break on Monday but would catch one on Wednesday if there is a parade after a victory.
Officials from KCPS say, win or lose, classes will continue as planned for Monday, February 13. Should the Chiefs win, classes on Wednesday, Feb. 15 will be canceled to allow students to attend the“Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade.”
The Gardner-Edgerton School District said a Chiefs win may also change its plans for next week.
Parent-teacher conferences are already scheduled for Wednesday, but will be canceled if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl and there is a parade. The district told parents to expect additional communication Monday if a change in schedule is needed.
