Phil Foden's four-year-old son amasses over one million Instagram followers in 24 hours

Phil Foden 's son, Ronnie, has already racked up over a million followers on Instagram less than 24 hours after joining the platform.

The youngster has become well known among fans having taken part in Manchester City 's recent celebrations. His appearance in the trophy procession has earned him the nickname 'El Wey' - or 'The Dude' - among supporters and that popularity has transmitted on social media.

Foden has created an account for his son with the first picture being of him and Ronnie with the caption: "El wey has arrived". The photo is of the City star walking down the tunnel with his son on his shoulders as he takes in high fives from supporters who are leaning over.

The second photo that has been uploaded is of Ronnie and his dad alongside Sergio Aguero on the pitch at Istanbul after City's Champions League triumph. The caption is: "A day I will always remember" and it already has over 150,000 likes within its first hour.

Currently both father and son have been seen making the most of their summer break with a family holiday. Ronnie's mum and Phil's long-term partner, Rebecca Cooke, is with them after being part of the post-season celebrations as City became just the second English side to win the treble.

Foden has seen a new mural created in his hometown of Stockport after playing his part in City's historic achievement. The 23-year-old captured his fifth Premier League title despite his tender age, producing the best goalscoring season of his career. Three of his 16 strikes came in a Manchester derby demolition as he and Erling Haaland both bagged hat-tricks at the Etihad.

Foden's sole strike in the Champions League came in the opening game of the campaign as they won at Sevilla. He would begin the final on the bench but come on early to replace the injured Kevin De Bruyne, later having a big chance to make it 2-0 on the night, only to be denied by a big save.
