Phil Esposito grossly body-shames Maple Leafs fan who was taunting Lightning players

C’mon, Phil Esposito.

The Hockey Hall of Famer is one of the radio voices of the Tampa Bay Lightning, and on Thursday night during the Toronto Maple Leafs’ 7-2 loss in Game 2 of their opening-round playoff series, Espo was describing a Leafs fan who was talking trash to Tampa players near the penalty box.

“You’ve got a fat woman who’s yappin’ like crazy, or is that a guy with long hair? I can’t tell,” he said on the air.

To which I say: No need to go there. We call that body shaming and that’s very wrong. Just say she was a fan yappin’ instead! It’s pretty simple.
