Rugby legend and Welsh icon Phil Bennett received a moving standing ovation as he left Parc y Scarlets for the last time before being laid to rest.
A wonderful public memorial service was held for Bennett, who died at the age of 73 just under two weeks ago. You can read all the details and see the pictures from the day here. The thousands in attendance heard emotional tributes from the likes of Llanelli legend Delme Thomas and sang rousing renditions of Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer and Yma o Hyd before the service ended with a fitting tribute.
As 'Benny' was brought back to the hearse by his bearers, which included former team-mates Thomas and Derek Quinnell, the crowd were upstanding, as supporters joined together to create one of the most impactful ovations ever witnessed at the ground.

The sound of Take Me Home, Country Roads was accompanied by the rousing reception, with the applause seemingly indefinite in a mark of ultimate respect..
After a moment's silence as Bennett's coffin was placed in the hearse, a second applause broke out as a legend departed for the final time.
