A Mansfield hairdresser said it feels amazing to have been inducted into the British Hairdressing Hall of Fame. Shaun Hall, who works at Mark Leeson in Regent Street, was given the prestigious honour at the HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards on Monday, November 28.
The 37-year-old joins the likes of Andrew Collinge and Mark Hill in accepting the honour. "It's amazing, I've won the category three times. People work hard to get it so to be given it is amazing," Mr Hall told Nottinghamshire Live.
"It feels really great to be recognised by your peers." First starting out 20 years ago, he now sees around eight clients a day with cuts ranging from the "normal" to "more creative".

Mr Hall said the secret to his success was about "working hard and making your collections stand out more". Recalling the moment he got into the profession, he said: "I was at college studying something else and I saw a friend work at a salon, I loved how she was changing people and how they looked. And how it made them feel.
"I fell in love with the industry. Who else goes to work and loves it? Every day is different." Commenting on Shaun’s Hall of Fame induction, Jayne Lewis-Orr, Executive Director of HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards said; “A huge congratulations to Shaun.
"Over the years his hair work has showcased phenomenal technical skill, as well as beauty and comprehension of current trends – he is truly deserving of this recognition.”
