PFF highlights 2025 NFL draft WR for Jaguars to watch

The Jaguars took wide receiver Brian Thomas in the first round of April’s NFL draft. Could they double-dip at the position with such a premium selection a year from now?

Pro Football Focus analyst Trevor Sikkema lent credence to the idea Monday, naming Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan as a 2025 NFL draft offensive prospect who could be on Jacksonville’s radar as his junior season approaches.

Sikkema also connected McMillan with the Buffalo Bills.

McMillan is on this list twice. But when thinking about what quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars’ offense could look like with McMillan as a WR1, this fit makes too much sense.

Jacksonville signed Gabe Davis in free agency, drafted Brian Thomas Jr. and has Christian Kirk already in place. The 6-foot-5 McMillan would give the team a contested-catch and red-zone option it lacks right now. And McMillan can be much more than just that, too.

McMillan built upon a productive freshman season with an explosive sophomore campaign in 2023, catching 90 passes for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns to bring his career totals in each category to 129, 2,104 and 18, respectively.

Each of Kirk, Davis and Thomas are under contract with the Jaguars through at least McMillan’s rookie year, barring a return to school, with Thomas under team control for up to five years on his rookie deal, through 2028.

Perhaps that would make it surprising to see Jacksonville covet a receiver on Day 1 of next year’s draft. Still, crazier things have happened (see: Atlanta’s double-dip on quarterbacks this offseason).
