To improve their wide receiver room, PFF has given them Michigan wide receiver Roman Wilson in a new 2024 NFL draft mock exercise.
Outside of Amari Cooper and glimpses from Elijah Moore, the Browns do not have any proven reason for hope for the rest of the room entering the 2024 season. While they could take the free agency route, adding a young and inexpensive player in the draft (likely both) would give them massive cap relief if they can hit on the pick.
Misused as a gadget and slot player at Michigan, Wilson’s tape is much more impressive than his production might insist. This shined through as he put together a dominant week at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. He racked up 789 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Wolverines this year.
The Browns have had pretty solid success drafting wide receivers from Michigan in the past. While his tenure with the Browns ended tumultuously, Braylon Edwards did make a Pro Bowl in Cleveland. The Browns also squeezed every ounce of production they could get out of a sixth round pick in Donovan Peoples-Jones as well.
Could Wilson be the next Wolverine wide receiver to come to Cleveland?
