Peyton Manning returns to Tennessee as a part-time professor

Peyton Manning is a man of many talents.

He’s a five-time NFL MVP and a two-time Super Bowl champion. He is also a Pro Football Hall of Famer, a media personality and now a professor at his alma mater, the University of Tennessee.

Manning will serve as a professor of practice for the College of Communication and Information (CCI) this fall. With Manning having a degree in Speech Communication, in which he was awarded the honor in 1997, the title is more than fitting.

Manning stated he looks forward to greeting and teaching the students at his alma mater.

“My time as a student in the College of Communication and Information was a foundational experience during which I learned critical skills and messaging techniques that I continue to put to use almost daily,” Manning said.

“I look forward to working with the college’s talented faculty, and directly with students  in an effort to ensure they are well prepared for their future careers.”

Manning will be a part-time professor, joining select classes throughout the semester.

If you aren’t a student at Tennessee and can’t register for a class for Professor Manning, you can check him out again on his ManningCast on ESPN this fall.
