Peyton Manning comments on Bo Nix’s ‘great situation’ with Sean Payton

Peyton Manning has a belt for two teams.

He’s left his mark as the greatest quarterback in the history of the Indianapolis Colts, garnering four MVPs and a Super Bowl title. He did something similar with the Denver Broncos, getting an MVP and a Super Bowl title with them as well.

The Colts and the Broncos have been looking for their heir apparent to Manning. In the Colts’ defense, they did feel that Andrew Luck would be next. However, Luck opted to retire early. Enter Anthony Richardson and Bo Nix, the current starting quarterbacks for the Colts and Broncos. Manning has had high praise for the two.

Manning believes that Nix is in an ideal situation with head coach Sean Payton at the helm of his offense. As for Richardson, Manning believes Richardson will benefit from game reps and praised head coach Shane Steichen for benching him so Richardson can refocus.

Aditi Kinkhabwala of CBS Sports broke it down during the Denver-Indy game:

Nix has thrown 25 touchdown passes this season, one shy of Manning’s 16-game total as a rookie with the Colts in 1998.
