Petition to stop Katie Price owning more pets now on more than 27,000 signatures

A petition aimed at preventing Katie Price owning any more pets has more than 27,000 signatures. The petition, which was started around three years ago, lists a number of animals which allegedly died under Price's care.

The star, 44, has reportedly seen the deaths of dogs, a horse and even a chameleon. The petition says it 'isn't a single family tragedy' that is causing the animals to die.

"We need to stop this now," the petition says. "No more animals need to die."

The petition is being aimed at the RSPCA and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Should it reach 35,000 signatures, it will be one of the most popular on Change.org.

Following the update, sources told the Sun: "It's shocking to see the conditions those poor dogs are living in...

"After all that's happened with Katie's pets in the past you'd have thought she would be going above and beyond for her dogs, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

"She might have renovated her home but the dogs don't appear to be benefiting from it and still live in squalor."

The petition started after a cream Pomeranian called Sharon was run over after running through an open gate onto a busy road. That followed the 2017 death of one of her horses, which was struck by a vehicle after escaping from a field.

A year later, delivery driver hit her Alsatian, Queenie. Her chameleon, Marvin, reportedly died of a 'broken heart'. In 2020, another Alsatian, named Sparkle, was hit by a car.

French Bulldog Rolo suffocated after being trapped in a chair having been given cannabis oil - a death which drew criticism from animal welfare charities.
