A petition to stop Katie Price from owning animals has gained 28,000 signatures.
The Change.org petition was launched three years ago and garnered 10,000 signatures after reports of several pets dying at the former glamour model’s home, including dogs, a horse and even a chameleon.
However, in the wake of Pomeranian Sharon’s death in November the resurfaced petition has gained another 16k supporters.
The 44-year-old’s critics have stood behind the move claiming that her animals died of lack of care, are left to live in filth and excrement and are trained to attack.
The update on the petition reads: “A puppy has died in Katie Price’s care. She bought this puppy for her 13-year-old child... Which was killed in a accident no one witnessed...
“In the last five years, more animals have died from lack of care. Horses, dogs, cats, lizards, hedgehogs. This isn’t a single family tragedy. It’s a common thing in Katie Price’s home. Two dogs have been run over.
“Puppies were found dead drowning in a neglected swimming pool. A horse was run over on a motorway. Animals just go missing in her home never to be seen again. Her guard dog broke into her neighbour’s garden and killed their chickens.
“A dog trained to attack people. Also ripped her cat apart. The neglect seen on her show My Crazy Life. Cat poo with mold growing on it. Dog poo just left on the floor. Clothes dumped all over the place...
“Alger (sic) growing in her pool where her puppy drowned. She jokes about her mucky mansion. But it ain’t a joke that animals are dying from her lack of care.
“Being left alone to meet untimely deaths and nobody is saying enough is enough and carry on selling her animals. Three weeks ago a bulldog puppy named Rola was in her care...
“Nobody knows, including her, how it died. We need to stop this now no more animals need to die [sic].”
Following the update, sources told The Sun: “It’s shocking to see the conditions those poor dogs are living in...
“After all that’s happened with Katie’s pets in the past you’d have thought she would be going above and beyond for her dogs, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
“She might have renovated her home but the dogs don’t appear to be benefiting from it and still live in squalor.”
The pup, named Sharon, died after allegedly escaping from Price’s home and running onto the road where she was hit by a car.
She was taken to Arun Vets in Pulborough, West Sussex, by the driver where her death was confirmed. One of her horses was killed on the same road in 2017 after escaping from a field.
In 2020, the star’s French bulldog Rolo suffocated after getting stuck in an electric armchair while she was packing some bags in another room.
Her Alsatian Sparkle was mowed down in February of the same year and her dog Queenie died in a similar way in 2018.
Price has previously faced criticism from animal rights activists.
