VARANASI: The fresh petition of Vishwa Vedic Sanatan Sangh (VVSS) accepted in the court of civil judge (senior division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar on Tuesday, was transferred to the court of civil judge senior division fast track court Mahendra Kumar Pandey on Wednesday.
As the judge was not present, the civil judge senior division FTC fixed May 30 as next date for hearing, said VVSS chief Jitendra Singh Visen.
In the fresh petition VVSS has demanded ban on entry of Muslims in Gyanvapi compound, handing over Gyanvapi premises to Hindus and permitting regular puja-archana (worshipping) of Lord Aadi Visheshwar. Visen has made his wife Kiran Singh plaintiff in the matter.
Visen-led VVSS is backing the five women plaintiffs, who filed the petition (no 693/2021) seeking permission for daily worship and performing rituals at Shringar Gauri, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman and Nandi in the Gyanvapi premises. This case was transferred from the court of civil judge (senior division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar to the court of district judge Varanasi Ajay krishna Vishvesha on May 20 order of the Supreme Court after completion of court commission videography survey of Gyanvapi mosque between May 6 and 16 and submission of its report on May 19.
According to Visen, apart from petition no 693/2021 and the fresh one to seek ban on entry of Muslims in Gyanvapi premises, his organisation had filed four more petition on Gyanvapi and one on Laat Bhairo.
