Good Morning Football’s Peter Schrager was one of the only talking heads that even predicted a Denver Broncos playoff berth prior to the season. Now, he is letting everyone know that the Broncos deserve to be a playoff team over the Cincinnati Bengals.
“We got a lot of the Bengals there on national TV,” Schrager on NFL Network earlier this week. “I would rather us flip the table and celebrate the team that did make it (the Denver Broncos)!”
Schrager went on to expound on the season Broncos quarterback Bo Nix had in 2024.
“Did you see the season that Bo Nix just put together?” Schrager asked. “You could talk about Joe Burrow and cry alligator tears about not seeing him (in the playoffs). Bo Nix just had one of the greatest seasons in Broncos history in a franchise that includes John Elway and Peyton Manning. Bo Nix put up the fourth-best single-season touchdown record in the franchise’s history.”
Nix threw for 29 touchdowns in 2024, as well as rushing for four touchdowns, and one receiving touchdown for a total of 34 touchdowns on the year, which is just behind three of Peyton Manning’s season touchdown totals in 2012-14.
“Instead of talking about the Bengals and what could have been, let’s celebrate the season the @Broncos and @BoNix10 just had. They deserve this. And so do their fans who, by the way, haven’t seen a playoff game in 9 years.”

Nix is the also first rookie quarterback to lead the Broncos into the playoffs since Hall of Famer John Elway in 1983.
Denver is now set to face off against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in their first playoff appearance in nine seasons.
