One thing you have to say about Peter O'Mahony is that he is always involved in a game. For good or for bad, the Munster man never goes hiding and always gives 100%.
Yesterday was vintage O'Mahony. Against the fearsome Springboks, he carried the ball into contact repeatedly, made tackles all day long and was immense at the lineout.
At the breakdown he was a menace, picking up two vital turnovers for his team. For the entire 80 minutes he was a thorn in the side of the 2019 World Champions.

As O'Mahony is known to do, he got under the skin of his opponents. Throughout, he was involved in a couple of exchanges with members of the South African side.
And in one exchange, O'Mahony's loose lips had Virgin Media commentator Dave McIntyre scrambling to apologise.
Partway through the first half, a South African player complained to the referee about a decision. Moments later, O'Mahony was heard rebuking his counterpart, and said "Go F*** yourself."
This piece of NSFW language was picked up by the ref's mic, and as a result, was broadcast to fans watching the game at home all around the world.
On the Virgin Media broadcast, McIntyre said "Apologies to anyone who might have heard that over the ref mic."
Not the first time in his career that O'Mahony had a quick retort for an opponent, and it certainly won't be the last time either.
Regardless, the Munster man can be more than pleased with his day's work. The 33-year-old played a vital role in Ireland picking up a big win over the three time World Champions.
And with the sides met to meet in the pool-stage at next year's World Cup, another ferocious battle could be in store, with O'Mahony sure to once again be in the thick of things on the biggest stage.
