Peter Lawwell has been pictured sporting Celtic kit in Istanbul ahead of the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan.
The Parkhead supremo is continuing his search for a new manager after Ange Postecoglou departed for Tottenham Hotspur and the Sky Sports News cameras showed the 64-year-old chatting to Paris Saint-Germain supremo Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
Al-Khelaifi is chairman of the European Club Association with Lawwell heavily involved the ECA and UEFA's Professional Football Strategy Council. The board met on the morning of the big match in Turkey for one of the last meetings of the current membership cycle. Fans have been intrigued by his presence, wondering if he could also be exploring next manager options. Pep Guardiola’s assistant Enzo Maresca is of course one name who has been heavily linked with the top Parkhead job and he’ll be looking to lift the greatest prize on club football in Istanbul. Or one fan said: “Maybe signing talks with (Erling) Haaland?” Another said: “Mbappe a done deal.”
