One of the upcoming draft’s biggest questions is what happens with Georgia DT Jalen Carter. In his latest Football Morning in America column, NBC’s Peter King offers up an interesting rumor he’s heard about where Carter could be selected.
It’s not who fans might expect, but King dropped the rumor that the Pittsburgh Steelers are a very interested party — interested in Carter enough that they’d trade up from No. 17 overall to select the Bulldogs’ standout.
From King’s piece,
Best rumor of the week: Steelers trading up from 17 to nine if Carter’s there. There could not be a more perfect coach for Carter than Mike Tomlin.
King alludes to the No. 9 spot, currently held by the Chicago Bears. It’s something to file away as the draft approaches.
