Peter Kay stopped his live gig at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena for an audience member to be rushed to hospital.
On Thursday night, a fan sitting in the front row was taken ill and required an ambulance.
The comedian, who is currently on his sold-out comeback tour, quickly halted the gig as urgent medical attention was sought.
Kay is believed to have rushed off the stage in front of his 11,000 fans to help before a wheelchair was brought out.
"Peter asked if they were being serious, then he asked for the big lights to go on and stewards ran over to see what was going on," an audience member told The Sun.
"He then went off stage for around 10/15 mins and one person was seen getting wheelchaired out."
Kay reportedly returned to the stage after two other fans were also taken ill.
His tour is set to continue until August 2023 at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena.
Kay is also set to release a book later this year, which will reflect on his career.
The memoir will be a follow-up to his best-selling The Book That’s More Than Just A Book in 2011.
