Peter Kay will be performing a monthly residency at London's O2 which has only ever been done by the musician formerly known as Prince.
Peter will be hitting the stage for the first time in over 12 years after his 2017 tour plans were scraped due to unforeseen family circumstances. The comedian announced his grand return to comedy during the ad break on Sunday night's I'm A Celebrity.
With the majority of the tour taking place in the north of England, his southern fans were left disappointed that it appeared they were being overlooked. Peter joined Radio 2 this morning to reveal that was not the case and his plans for the show are so big they will go down in history.

Speaking on the Zoe Ball show, Peter said he will perform with a monthly residency at London's O2. He added: "There's only been me and Prince who have done it."
Peter will be performing at the venue each month for a year, with his first date being Friday 16th December and will go on to perform January 21, February 18, March 22 and April 22. It will run each month until Saturday, November 18, 2023.
He added: "Audiences in London have always been amongst the best in Britain, plus I think seeing the show could be part of a nice weekend away treat. It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.
"And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010".
