Peter Kay looked almost unrecognisable in a recent snap from one of his tour dates.
The comedian, 49, made a triumphant return to the spotlight after a 12 year hiatus due to "unforeseen family circumstances". Kay looked worlds away from his BBC Car Share days in a recent video taken backstage at his gig by singer Bryan Edery.
In the video, Kay could be seen in a black tracksuit grinning as he said: "Two lamb bhunas" before both men started laughing. Bryan captured the clip: "I was fortunate enough to be invited by my good friends to see Peter Kay’s amazing show at the O2. And then very lucky to meet the man himself backstage."
He added: "Go and see Peter’s show, it’s incredible. Secondly, thank you friends, you know who you are #peterkaytour."
A fan of Kay's said of the clip: "Wow that’s some mega weight loss Peter lad," while another commented: "Wow, looks like a different bloke," followed by two applause emojis.
The comic addressed his weight loss during his tour, as he twirled on stage for audiences and joked: "See how much weight Peter Kay has lost."
More than 12 years after his last tour, the comic kick-started his 'Better Late Than Never Tour' at Manchester's AO Arena in December, with more than 100 shows planned across the UK between 2022 and 2025.
This comes after Kay reunited with Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle earlier this year, over 12 years since the pair first worked together.
The singer, 62, and Bolton-born comedian posed for a photo together in May as she visited the Phoenix Nights star during his live comedy tour, Peter Kay Live! in Glasgow. Susan's official Instagram page posted the photo alongside the pair's single cover image for their Comic Relief track, I Know Him So Well.
The caption read: "A reunion 12 years in the making! Susan Boyle & Peter Kay back together again after she went to see his hilariously brilliant show "Peter Kay Live" in Glasgow. How has it been 12 years since their Comic Relief video came out?!".
