Peter Kay has been pictured for the first time since announcing his tour after five years out of the spotlight.
The comedian, 49, is back with a bang as he's set to embark on the comeback tour, which includes a monthly residency at the O2 for 2023.
With his first tour date fast approaching, Peter has started blazing a promotional trail and headed to Radio 2 on Wednesday to co-host Zoe Ball's Breakfast Show.
Rocking a simple black polo T-shirt, the comedian was on fine form as he roasted Zoe on her breakfast choice of 15p turkey slices as well as dropping numerous jokes about various song lyrics throughout the programme.
He later departed the studios in a black coat and baseball cap as he headed to his awaiting car.
Zoe announced the comic will perform at the O2 in London once a month starting on Friday 16th December right up until November next year.
He said on the show: "I'm doing the O2 once a month, I'm doing a residency. There's only been me and Prince who have done it."
"I'm doing this tour and literally two weeks after all the gas prices went up and petrol. I thought you've got to do something. I said why don't we do them at the same price.
"You've got to meet people halfway. It's why people need a laugh. That's why I was on the news. It's something happy for once. Not doom and gloom."
Prices will start from £35 to help with the cost-of-living crisis, with tickets going on sale on Saturday at 10am.
When asked if he will wear his signature purple shirt, Peter said he had bought 35 turquoise shirts for his tour, but has now decided he wants to wear something different and will have to hand them all to charity.
Elsewhere in the interview, Peter said he "can't get his head around" the reaction after he announced a huge comeback tour at the weekend.
The comedian said he was blown over by the was response as he steps into the spotlight for the first time in five years.
Peter, who has been practicing his new material in a few warm-up gigs, admitted he wanted to call the tour "Peter Who" due to his lengthy hiatus as he doubted fans would remember him after years out of the limelight.
He told Zoe: "I cannot get my head round it. I thought we should call this tour Peter Who. I hadn't been around for five years. I thought I'd be on the news when I'm dead not when I'm going on tour.
"I thought it's going to be a slow news day, hasn't it. I couldn't believe I was on the main news on telly."
He later added: "Thank you everybody for the last few days. It's overwhelming. I hope I do a good show".
The new show was announced during the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! ad break, with a hilarious clip of Peter carrying a roll of carpet and shouting to a man in a car.
The tour kicks off in Manchester and then will travel to Birmingham, Liverpool, Belfast, Newcastle, Dublin, Glasgow, Cardiff and Nottingham.
Peter was due to embark on a series of nationwide shows back in 2017 before cancelling due to unforeseen family circumstances.
When cancelling the 100-date sell-out tour, he released a statement which read: "Due to unforeseen family circumstances I deeply regret I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects.
"My sincerest apologies."
He added: "This decision has not been taken lightly and I’m sure you’ll understand my family must always come first."
Peter has stayed largely out of the spotlight ever since, although he has slowly started making a return to public life.
