Peter Kay fans 'stressed' as O2 Priority app crashes before pre-sale

Peter Kay fans have branded the O2 Priority an 'absolute shambles' after the app stopped working this morning.

The tickets are due to go on sale at 10am and the app won't load anything. The much-loved comedian will perform at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on Friday, January 6 and Saturday, January 7 2023 as part of a huge UK tour that will visit Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and more.

With O2 and Three customers due to get pre-sale tickets this morning, many have been left feeling panicked after the app refused to work. Taking to Twitter, one Peter Kay fan said: "O2 Priority site crashed. I NEED TO GET PETER KAY TICKETS WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE [cry emoji]."

A second Peter Kay fan said: "Not the o2 priority app crashing an hour before Peter Kay presale." A third tweet read: "Even on desktop! It just says “there’s been a problem and we’ve been notified."

Fans have been left scrambling trying to access the tickets an hour before they're due to even go on sale at 10am.

A Virgin Media O2 spokesperson said: “We’ve seen unprecedented levels of visitors to our Priority platform for Peter Kay tickets. As a result, some customers are experiencing difficulties trying to use the app and website despite us putting additional resource in place to help cope with such demand. We apologise and we’re doing everything we can to get it back up and running as soon as possible.”

You can access O2 priority tickets here. Peter Kay fans must ensure that they are signed in via the O2 app or online to get access to the presale tickets. Mobile network Three is also offering members access to a limited number of tickets for the Peter Kay 2022 tour at:

  • AO Arena Manchester on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 December 2022
  • first direct arena Leeds on Friday 20 January and Friday 19 May 2023
  • Utilita Arena Newcastle on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 March 2023
