He's waited 12 years for a new tour - and now Peter Kay doesn't seem to want the next one to end. The Bolton comedian says he has been 'blown away' by the huge demand for tickets to see his new show, the Better Late Than Never tour.
There has been an outpouring of love and excitement from fans who have been eager to snap up tickets for the tour. Millions have spent their Saturday (November 12) trying to get their hands on one of the hottest tickets British comedy has ever seen.
As fans first descended online this morning ticketing websites buckled under the pressure, and as the day went on there was fury over extortionate prices for resale - with tickets as pricey as £1,770 spotted on Viagogo, the Mirror reports. But 49-year-old Peter appears determined not to let fans down - with a string of new dates being announced throughout today.

Astonishingly, those dates now stretch out as far as June 2025. By 6.30pm, a staggering total of 110 shows had been announced for the tour, including 42 dates at Manchester's AO Arena.
Fans reported spending several hours queueing for tickets throughout the day online, and the man himself was left emotional by the huge response. In a post shared on Twitter, he wrote: " THANK YOU!!
"Absolutely blown away by the ticket sales so far, especially as some of the shows aren't for a good while yet but don't worry we'll have a laugh when we're all together. Much love, Peter."
Peter then signed off with a joke at the expense of controversial I'm a Celebrity contestant and former Health Secretary Matt Hancock, telling fans: "P.S Matt Hancock IS a proper b***-end." Tickets are still available for Peter's shows, with 'low availability' for events at the AO Arena according to Ticketmaster.
Fellow Greater Manchester comedian Justin Moorhouse, who starred in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights as Young Kenny, joked on Twitter that he couldn't help fans desperate to see the Boltonian in action. He wrote: "Dear everyone I’ve ever met but haven’t seen for ages.
"Sorry I can’t get @peterkay_co_uk tickets for you. Love Justin x ps would it be churlish to suggest you might come and see me? Hey?"
As well as Manchester, Peter will be performing in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield. The tour kicks off in Manchester on Friday, December 2, and is currently due to end in Birmingham's Utilita Arena on June 7, 2025.
That could be subject to change if any more dates are added by the comedy superstar, however. Fans can buy tickets online using Ticketmaster, See Tickets or Ticket Factory.
